Never pretentious and always fun, this is an opportunity to mingle with friends or make new ones in a lovely setting that includes cocktails, dinner, auctions, entertainment, and dancing.

 

The Dinner of Note began 20 years ago on the stage of the Folly Theater. Today we make use of the largest ballrooms in the city to accommodate 400 or more friends who know the Dinner of Note is the most fun you can have in a black tie or evening gown.

 

The event begins at 6pm with a 90-minute open-bar cocktail party as guests peruse over 100 silent auction items that are unique and exciting. At  7:30 p.m. guests will sit for a sumptuous dinner that includes your choice of entrée with wine service.

 

Check-in and checkout will be simple and fast, eliminating long lines, which gives you more time to enjoy the Dinner of Note.

Salad:

Tropicana Mixed Greens, Mango, Tomato, Queso Fresco, mint, hearts of palm with a cilantro & chili-lime vinaigrette

Entrée choices:

Pollo La Plancha (poultry) Butterflied chicken breast seared in mojo marinade with a savory red pepper coulis accompanied by herb White rice, Cuban black beans, and tostones (green plantains tossed in cinnamon and sugar)

Vaca Frita (beef) Mojo marinated Filet steak seared crispy with sautéed onions and a savory red pepper coulis accompanied by herb white rice, Cuban black beans, and maduros (sliced/fried plantains in cinnamon and sugar)

Pescado Tropical (seafood) Seared seabass seared with a salad of mango, pina (pineapple), orange, cilantro, mint, red onion, green peppers, and scallions, potato mash & red sangria reduction with Herb White Rice, and tostones ( plantains tossed in garlic mojo).

Vegetariano Habanero (vegetarian) Vegetable tower with a savory red pepper coulis accompanied by herb white rice and Cuban style black beans, and maduros (sliced/fried plantains in cinnamon and sugar)

Dessert:

Rum and Banana Cream pie tart with a chocolate sauce
